While everyone were looking at the Gionee Elife E6, Gionee also launched the Gionee GPad G3 that is now listed on Snapdeal for Rs. 9,699. This handset is slightly downgraded version of the Gionee GPad G2.
The screen on the Gionee GPad G3 is slightly bigger at 5.5 inches but with 854×480 pixels resolution. As per the specs on the Snapdeal website the G3 is powered by 1.2GHz quad core processor with PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. The camera as compared with the G2 is downgraded to 5MP. I am not sure if this handset comes with MT6589M chipset, which is highly possible considering the price tag.
The rear camera is with LED flash and there is a front VGA camera too. The Snapdeal website also mentions that HD recording is not supported, though we cannot really trust the specs there. The handset thickness is 9.6mm and supports 3G, Wi-Fi, GPS and Bluetooth. GPad G3 runs on Android 4.2 with 1GB RAM and 4GB internal storage.
The battery is also of a lower capacity 2250mAh as compared with the GPad G2. The dual SIM Gionee GPad G3 comes with a cheaper price tag for Rs. 9,699 available in Black and White colors from Snapdeal, probably with MT6589M chipset.
